Our customer is the Software Division of a German Automotive OEM. Their
mission is to make the automotive experience safer, more sustainable, more
comfortable, more digital, and more fun. Soon, a team of 5,000 software
developers and engineers, will be building the leading tech stack for the
automotive industry and creating a unified software platform for over 10
million new vehicles per year.
We're looking for talented, digital minds like you to contribute to the
System Base team, to specify and develop the standardized cockpit electronics
and Infotainment software system for future vehicle E/E architectures across
all Customer’s Group brands. The team is responsible for a broad field of base
functions like Operating Systems (Linux, AUTOSAR, Android, QNX), Performance,
Stability, Power Management, Virtualization, Tracing and Logging of the Cockpit
Infotainment System.
For this particular position,
we are looking for a "System Engineer" who will be responsible to
define architecture for boot control services for platform software of
infotainment system. Analyse and capture the extended boot control services for
dual SOC architecture for platform software.
Your role
- Analysis of system behaviour of infotainment electronic control unit
- Capture requirements for system behaviour for boot loader functionality on
different target platforms
- Define architecture for boot loader functionality of the system for
different target platforms
- Collaboration with cross functional team and suppliers for verification of
boot loader functionality
- Testing of functional and non-functional requirements of bootloader
- Perform analysis of system issues identified during testing
- Contribute for performance analysis and optimization of system
- Contribute for planning of tasks for the sprints of project
Requirements – Must
list (short, and real must, no order)
- A degree of Bachelor’s in Engineering in ECE, EEE, CS or similar
- 10+ years of experience in system engineering and software engineering, in
the area of infotainment systems
- Has experience with design of bootloader functionality for dual SOC using
tools like EA
- Has experience with design of test cases to verify the functionality of
bootloader for dual SOC architecture
- Has experience with root cause analysis of defects and collaboration with
software team for fixing issues
- Has experience with automation of defects analysis using scripting tools
like Python, perl etc
- Has experience with communication with suppliers about the KPI of
bootloader
- Has experience with different operating systems like Linux, Android,
Autosar
- Collaboration with software team for performance improvement and
optimization of the infotainment system
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
Good to have
• A degree of Master’s in Engineering in ECE,
EEE, CS or similar
• Has knowledge on hardware of
electronic control units with awareness on input, output, memory and SOC
interfaces
• Has experience with
programming languages like embedded C and C++
• Has experience with
compilers and debuggers for debugging and fixing the bootloader issues
• Experience with requirements
management tools like DOORS
• Experience with project
management tools like JIRA
• Ideally process-know how
within ASPICE and agile development methods
• Communication skills in German
