2024002 - Technical PM and Performance Analysis Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Performance Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our vehicles. As a Vehicle Performance Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough testing procedures, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall vehicle performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to evaluate the performance of vehicles, with a focus on Gateway and Infotainment ECUs, and overall system functionality.
- Utilize advanced testing equipment for data collection and analysis, specifically addressing the performance of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and Infotainment systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance-related issues during testing, emphasizing the seamless communication between ECUs and the integration of Infotainment systems.
- Design and implement test scenarios specifically geared towards evaluating communication protocols between ECUs within the vehicle, ensuring optimal data exchange and reliability.
- Conduct targeted tests to assess the communication capabilities of Gateway ECU, ensuring the smooth transfer of data between various ECUs for integrated functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address and resolve performance challenges, particularly related to Gateway ECU, and Infotainment systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and quality assurance, to seamlessly integrate performance improvements into the overall vehicle development process.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in vehicle performance testing methodologies, with a specific focus on Gateway and Infotainment ECUs, and overall system performance.
- Propose and implement improvements aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of testing procedures, particularly in the realms of Gateway, ECU, Infotainment, and overall vehicle performance testing.
Requirements – Must
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrate proven expertise in vehicle performance testing, with a focus on stress testing and load testing under extreme conditions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing vehicle performance testing, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Specialize in system testing and the formulation of test specifications for Infotainment ECUs, contributing to robust design and functionality.
- Proficient in Linux-based software/application testing, showcasing the ability to work effectively within this environment.
- Experience with testing tools such as dynamometers, data loggers, and simulation software.
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, control systems, communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, CAN, LIN, FlexRay), and diagnostic protocols (e.g., UDS).
- Extensive experience in crash analysis of user space and kernel space data obtained from the field, contributing to the resolution of production issues.
- Expertise in regression testing, ensuring the stability and performance of systems even after updates or changes.
Good to have
- Knowledge of Hypervisor or other resource-sharing tools
- Understanding of Android OS for Infotainment ECU
- Familiarity with tools such as CANalyzer or Wireshark for monitoring and analyzing ECU communication
- Awareness of ASPICE or other quality standards
- SCRUM or any Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
