2024011 - Automotive Cybersecurity Coordinator

Job Description

  • Develop product cybersecurity process and strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with the overall vehicle program and ISO/SAE 21434.
  • Perform TARA, Vulnerability assessments, Incident management etc.
  • Lead and provide directions to the cybersecurity development team as per the documentation, quality and process expectations of cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators (KPI) to track the progress and effectiveness of cybersecurity activities across the organization.
  • Perform the internal assessments/Audits of cybersecurity work products.
  • Prepare documentation for Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) assessment and Road vehicle Type approvals.
  • Promote the security culture across the organization and collaborate for continuous improvement of the work product quality.


Must List

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar
  • Strong knowledge and several years of working experience in cybersecurity concepts, processes and best practices linked to the automotive industry.  
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP29 preferably with relevant certifications.
  • Working level awareness in topics such as TARA, Vulnerability assessments, risk management and incident management
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Type approval requirements in compliant with UNECE regulation (R155, R156)
  • Familiarity with automotive systems, ECUs and communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, Wifi, Bluetooth etc..)
  • Excellent documentation skills related to Automotive Process and Quality
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Good to have
  • Good understanding of Vehicle Product Lifecycle – Concept, Design, Development, Production, Maintenance and De-commissioningRelevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or Comp TIA Security+
  • Experience in working with change & and requirement management tools such as JIRA, Doors, System Weaver or equivalent.
  • Awareness of security testing concepts like fuzz testing and Penetration testing is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of Automotive ECU development & and testing process either from an OEM or Tier 1, Tier 2 Automotive suppliers is highly preferable.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar
